Yay for pain meds!! I finally feel human and happy (yes the pain meds do make me a bit giddy). Now to remember that even though I'm not in agonizing pain it doesn't mean that my back has actually healed so I still need to take it easy - no lifting or bending and lots of time lying on the sofa with an ice pack.
Best wishes for getting better. I found physical therapy helpfull with my back, and also the Back Care Yoga DVD by Rodney Yee to help rebuild strength once you feel you are ready for that.
D used that yoga DVD when he was getting over his last rupture - he said the yoga was one of the best things he ever did for his back. His mom also sent us an 11x14" ice pack, which is absolutely the BEST thing for ouchy spine - you don't have to "aim" it quite so much, just flop on it.
As I was trying to tell Corby last night - don't go to any special lengths to get ready for us to show up. I can make my own bed and stuff if you tell me where the blankets are.
Anything we can bring you? Movies? Books? I would offer booze, but I don't know if that mixes well with your drugs...
